Originally made by monks in Munich, the doppelbock is essentially a brown coloured lager with double the malt and double the ABV of a standard lager. At an ABV of 7.3% it’s not for the faint of heart. This beer is rich, sweet & malty backed up with warm alcohol intensity. With hints of chocolate, caramel, dark fruits and light toast, the richness of this beer makes it the perfect match for pairing with rich proteins, roasted vegetables and potatoes.
