Possibly one of the most universally beloved styles of beer connoisseurs the world over Belgian Strong Ales are not your everyday tipple: this brew is a treat to be savoured. Voluminous white foam dominates the glass, under which lies a deep mahogany liquor, full of complex sugar, spice and spritz. Esters of banana, clove and vanilla are carried over a caramel sweetness; a match made in heaven. Candi sugar bolsters the alcohol content, as well as lending a pleasant dry finish to an otherwise richly complex beer. Santé!

Rich estery spices and tropical fruits carry across candy sweetness for a heady first impression. Medium-bitter hoppiness tempers its full-body, with a delightful, dry finish.
